Testing Questionaire

Thank you for participating in the SendAMessage beta app testing activities – I greatly appreciate it.

The aim of this early adopter testing is to capture as much user feedback as we can to help with getting the product to a point where the customers feel that they would be getting value from using the app and are happy to recommend and advocate to their peers, friends and contacts.

Before undertaking this survey, please have a run through of the Introduction Paper I’ve provided and take a walk through the app itself to familiarise yourself.

Some of the questions in the survey could be answered with YES/NO, which whilst valuable feedback, could be greatly enhanced with your comments or thoughts or suggestions. With that in mind, could I please request you detail any more specific feedback that you might have.

After reading the Introduction Paper – did you get a good sense for what the SendAMessage app would be used for ?

Can you think of any issues in your world that you could potentially use the SendAMessage app for ? What would they be ?

Do you think an app like SendAMessage could help you with achieving an outcome for issues that you are having ?

How would you score the ease of navigation around the app (1 = hard to navigate, 10 = easy to navigate)

Were there any aspects of the app where you were initially confused by what you needed to do next ?

When searching for a suitable message for your given scenario, did you look for words describing the scenario (eg. animalNoise) or did you look for a picture of the given scenario (eg. barking dog)

Was the labelling of the message pages around “New”, “Undelivered”, “History” clear to you as to the content of the page

How would you score the appropriateness of the Tooltips that popped when you hovered over a field input or label ( 1= bad, 10 = good )

Did the delivery methods and message status icons make sense to you ?

When you saw the blue varName construction inside the message paragraph – did you tap it instinctively or did you need to navigate around to figure out what it was expecting you to do ?

Did the feature that allowed you to select a given word or variable from the dropdown list in “Select Variable Option” provide a sense of personalisation of the message to your experience ? Did it add value or did it slow down the process for you ?

How many choices do you think would be optimal for the various dropdown lists within the message paragraphs ?

How would score how long you spent on average selecting a choice from the various dropdown lists ( 1 = short time, 10 = long time )

After you had completed personalising the message with the dropdowns, did you read through the message on screen ? Or did you just tap send ?

How did you feel about the concept of purchasing “Credits” to allow you to send messages ?

Would you prefer to pay for messages as they are sent (pay per message) or prefer to debit from a pre-purchased “Credit” that you have paid for ?

Were any of the Edit message page tooltips or labels confusing ?

At first look of the Mail message preparation – was the process to Edit message then "Process Mail" , then "Preview Mail" or "Send" clear or confusing ?

Was the function or use of the “Message Label” input at the top of the Edit Message screen clear to you ?

Were you able to follow the instructions to attach a phone camera photo of the vehicle parking to your message ?

Can you list three top things about the app that you DID like

Convenience of having the words written for me

That I could select one of three ways to have the message delivered

That I could see what I had sent to the receiver previously and at what date/time

That I could SendAMessage and decide what contact details I wanted to share

The app was able to be accessed from my Mobile Phone as well as on a Desktop PC

Can you list three top things about the app that you DID NOT like

The app was clunky to navigate around

The app didnt display properly on my Mobile phone

I didnt like the idea of buying credits to pay for messages

The Home page buttons were confusing – New | Undelivered | History | Account

I am worried about the security of my Credits purchased and using my credit/debit card

I found the help and FAQ’s of limited value

There are too many choices with the dropdowns inside the edit message body

If there was an issue in your world that SendAMessage had a appropriate message template for – would you be likely to think to use the app to send a message ?

If you were to send a message – is it more likely that you would include your return Contact details with the message or send anonymously ?

If you did not know the mobile phone # or Email address of the receiver of the message to – would you feel comfortable to use the app to send a posted Mail message

Do you have any suggestions around the high level categories of message that would encourage you to use the app ? eg. business product returns, messaging politicians, messaging local government ?

Do you have any suggestions around the Use cases of messages that you would encourage you to use the app ? eg. my productRefundRequest, unhappyAboutThisIssue, myBinsNotPickedUp

Are there aspects of the app and its function that would likely stop you from using the app to send a message ?
